Give the gift of music to 200 children with hearing loss this Christmas

Amira's parents were devastated when they were told that Amira was born with profound bilateral hearing loss. They were scared that life would be harder for her to navigate. 

“We were so very sad, and so scared that life would be harder for her. We grieved but felt guilty for that grief. It also made us love her even more. We knew our perfect little girl needed us now more than ever.”

However, within five months of having her cochlear implant surgery and attending The Shepherd Centre, Amira was on par with her hearing peers. She enjoys bike riding, reading and music. Her proud father describes her as a social butterfly! 

This would not have been possible without the support of our generous donors.

It costs $500 per child to continue our dedicated music programs and this Christmas our goal is to raise $100,000 to enable 200 children to experience the magic of music.
